By the end of the NBA regular season and the start of the playoffs, Kevin Durant, like Paul George, Kyrie Irving and some other stars, will also receive new personalized basketball sneakers. Nike KD 15 is similar in some details and technologies to the previous KD14, but still got a number of interesting differences.
The new Nike KD 15 offers a relatively low top with an additional outer “cage” with holes for lacing and additional support and stabilization. A full-size Zoom Air module is used for cushioning, as well as Cushlon foam in the midsole. You can also notice that this pair has lost the strap in the middle part of the foot, which was in the KD 14 model — only lacing is used here.
As usual, we are waiting for a number of interesting colors of these basketball sneakers. However, the dark version with shades of Black, Border Blue, Sanddrift and Aura will be released first. Dark blue mesh fabric is combined with a black pattern, as well as a bright tongue with children’s drawings. The design is complemented by pink Durant branding on the tongue, a buttonhole on the back with the inscription “Easy” (a reference to the player’s nickname “Easy money sniper”), a number on the heel, as well as a yellow Swoosh. The paisley pattern on the insole and box also looks interesting. You can find the official photos below.
The Nike KD 15 will debut in April 2022. You will be able to buy sneakers on the website Nike.com in the corporate section of KD. The cost of the pair has not yet been specified — stay in touch.
