Invented and developed by NBA superstar Kawhi Leonard, the third model of basketball sneakers of the “New Money” series resembles stacks of banknotes with its details. Also, the “New Money” line conveys a message to a new generation of athletes who must build their legacy also outside of sports.
The New Balance Kawhi 2 basketball sneakers, at the request of Kawhi, have become lighter and “more explosive” compared to the first model. The Kawhi II received an updated, more productive base, which works in combination with the full-size FuelCell midsole, providing unprecedented energy return. The top is also represented by FitWeave Lite technology. It’s a lightweight woven material designed by the New Balance Hoops design team to give players adaptive stretching and support where they need it, as well as a lighter weight and customizable fit.
In addition to Kawhi II sneakers, the New Money collection will include hoodies, pants and T-shirts created by Clayton and Chris Griggs.
